free bumpersticker: pre-designed free decals
It's pretty straight forward really - you design it, I'll produce, then send it to you, absolutely free. If you're not feeling at all imaginative, then you can click here for some pre-designed goodies.
Download the jpg template it'll look like this:
When loaded correctly, it will be 21.5" x 4" (~540mm x 100mm) Send it too me and I'll print and ship it to you - absolutely free. No strings attached! If you need more get in contact. Each additional sheet will cost you $10, bulk pricing available. How To Do It:
Download the template and then load it into your favourite bitmap editor. Keep your colouring between the lines, we're not in pre-school now :) Areas left white will have no ink applied. Just like a desktop printer my plotter can't print white (this is important if you are going to use clear material - see later).
The stickers will be cut out around the edge of the two rectangles so that you end up with two bumpersticker graphics roughly 4" x 10.5". If you want to arrange many smaller graphics in this area and then cut them down futher on your own time please be my guest.
Save the file as a .jpg and then send it to me at leighton@fpdimages.com.
Make sure you include a shipping address and please specify whether you'd like it on white (default) or clear material. (Remember: on clear material, 'white' in the design will be see-through areas).
I ship worldwide. This isn't one of those really lame 'US Only' offers. I'm absolutely positively fine with it being for clubs, religious groups, commercial use infact, pretty much anything.
So - Only A Jpg?
Correct. I get a number of these submissions per week and I don't need emails with huge .bmp/.tif files as attachments filling up my inbox. Do not send me Microsoft Word documents, OpenOffice, Word Perfect, Autocad, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Paint-Shop Pro, etc.
How Long Do I Have To Wait?
Most designs get produced in 2-5 days depending on how busy I am with bill-paying projects. Once your design hits the mail system (they ship standard postal airmail) then they take about 5 days for destinations in Canada, 5-7 days for the UK and oddly enough up to 14 days for destinations in the US. If you need them faster please let me know and I'll happily bill you $15 for a priority mail service in North America and about $35 for everywhere else on this glorious planet.
Do I Have To Use That Template?
Yes. I have a stock template set up for my plotter that quickly imports, prints and cuts out the template as shown above. Any 'tweaking' out side of this template requires time, and time is money. Specifically, your money :) See below.
Can I Have One On White, And One On Clear?
Sorry, no. Doing one on white and one on clear is wasteful on materials. Plus, is takes time to swap the rolls over on the plotter and I have to get these out quickly in order for it to be cost-effective.
I'd Like To Make Something That Isn't Based On Your Crappy Template...
Please, get in touch. I love to work on custom projects and you can get started for as little as $16. Anything that isn't strictly using the above template, or from my store counts as a custom project.
Waterproof? Weatherproof? Just How Sticky?
The materials and inks are the same as what I use on my vehicle projects. The vinyl is rated for 5-years outdoor use and Roland rate the ink for three years before any fading should occur. Your milage may vary. You can easily remove the material using a hairdryer, care and a little patience. I don't laminate the free decals, but if you'd like ultra-longevity I can, but that would be a billable. The material is very sticky. Don't attach it to anything you don't want it to firmly adhere to.
If you Send Me Stuff, You Agree To This Next Bit:
Don't send me stuff that'll land either of us in copyright trouble. Don't think for a second that I'll stand behind any 'protecting my clients' crap if some lawyer comes pounding on my door saying that you've infringed a trademark. Believe me, I'll be handing over your name and address faster than you can say 'litigation'. I can't check everything and I trust that in good faith you are allowed to reproduce what you're sending me and that you're not abusing this service. So there.
I will reject submissions if you try to use decals found elsewhere on my site (yes, believe it or not this has happened once).
